Surfing the Avalanche - PANZ Conference Challenge

 Surfing the Avalanche is Jens Bammel’swry title for his PANZ Conference keynote speech on March 1 about the changingface of global publishing. Bammel, secretary general of the InternationalPublishers Association based in Geneva, is making his first visit to thiscountry to bring his knowledge of the global publishing situation to theConference.
A full and busy programme covering publishing atboth its widest and specialist sectors will fill March 1 and 2 at the MercureHotel in downtown Auckland.
As well as Jens Bammel, there are other leadinginternational book figures like Little, Brown UK publisher David Shelley andAussies Mark Tanner, Malcolm Neil, Mark Higginson, Head of Digital Developmentfor HarperCollins and academic specialist Elizabeth Weiss.
