The first Bethunes at Webb's sale of 2012 willbe held on Monday 20 February. The sale will be in two sessions, the firstcomprising historical photography and postcards, and the second rare books andrelated materials. Session one will commence at 10am. Session two will commenceat 1pm.
Highlights of the sale include rare cartes devisite and cabinet cards by the likes of George and Elizabeth Pulman, first andsecond editions of Walter Lawry Buller's A history of the birds of New Zealand, asplendid Bird's eyeview of Auckland by George Treacy Stevens, and CF Beautemps-Beaupre's marvellous atlas to Bruni d'Entrecasteaux'svoyage in search of La Perouse.
All lots are illustrated online.
